Why did we choose that name?

We have over 30 years combined experience in communications, networking, cabling and security.  We were discussing one day why our accountants were always so mysterious in what they do and asked them.  They replied if they made it simple they would not be able to charge the fees they do.

That got us thinking.  Computer people are confused about telephone systems.  Telephone people are confused with computers.  Cabling is expensive.  Then the Internet started to combine all of these items.  That made it even more confusing.  Customers are confused and paying too much for too little.

We decided a few years ago we would form a company that would combine all of these items and present them in a simplified form to our customers.  Further we thought that a “one-stop shop” that could look after all of our customers’ needs would be an advantage to them.

If we could combine all of these in one place and take the mystery out of them we could offer solutions that would be less expensive because we would not have to make all of our profits from a single item.  We could offer efficiencies by supporting all aspects of our customers’ needs.

We took action and called ourselves Action Tel Solutions.

What can we offer?

We can offer telephone systems, digital and VoIP, and in many cases a combination of both.  We could offer voice mail and unified messaging solutions for a single site or for many sites connected in a network either over the Internet or in private connections.  We could offer systems that support regular analog telephone lines. We could offer VoIP (SIP) lines and PRI lines that have Direct-In-Numbers (DID) that ring directly at the phone they were supposed to ring at which can eliminate the need of a full-time receptionist.  We could interact with the telephone companies like Telus, Shaw, Bell, Allstream, etc. to ensure the best product at the best prices.

We could supply the peripherals like headsets and conference phone and even offer conference bridges so conference calls could reside on-site.

We could do the cabling for phones, computers and security – CAT5e, CAT6, CAT6a, fibre, COAX, alarm, etc. – basically any low voltage cabling required.  We could supply the servers and computers.  We could configure the Local Area Networks and give ongoing support and upgrades - whether physical equipment or software.  We could become Structure Cabling experts.

We could supply and install paging systems.  We could do Call Centres with all the needed reports; we could do Computer-Telephone Interfaces (CTI).  We could offer wireless solutions either as part of your telephone system to give access to staff who are mobile and not at their desks much of the time.  We could even offer off-premise wireless telephones.  We could have an incoming call ring at your desk phone, your wireless phone, your soft phone in your PC, a soft phone in your Smart Phone, your home phone and your cell phone on each incoming call so you could answer it on the most convenient device.  For those who want to be accessible we could provide that.

We could supply routers and switches.  We could allow you to have a private fax line that comes out of the back of your telephone to go to a fax machine or a fax modem.  A private fax number where no one ever sees the fax except you.  We could even have your private printer come out of the back of your telephone.

We could connect your communications devices to the “cloud”.

What if companies did not want to purchase a telephone system?  We could host the system (hosted PBX) and the customer would only need to purchase or rent the actual handsets.  All upgrade would be done by us and at a lesser cost.

Security – We help setup security cameras, analog, HD and IP so that customers could monitor with their laptops or smart phones. we also supply the TVs, projectors and all with remote control.
